Whether you have been here before or not.. WELCOME! I'm
not much of a photographer but I enjoy taking photos that [to me] seem unusual or interesting. Sometimes I think they are funny, sometimes strange and sometimes R rated. In any case you are encouraged to put comments in the visitors book. I hope I can make you smile or even giggle a bit.
SURPRISE! as I walked past a shop window in Townsville CBD, the blinds flew open to reveal five students who were testing a formula for healthy skin. I took considerable interest in the formula.
This road worker was not like all the others who had their hands in their pockets - this one saluted each passing driver.
Hmmm.... fu2

Always stop at the Eimeo Pub and get a coffee and cake.
It says, "Because of the tilt of 28 degrees 27 minutes
30 seconds of the Earth's axis of rotation to it's orbital path, the tropic of
Capricorn is the southernmost latitude at which the Sun reaches the zenith. This
happens only once each year on the summer solstice (about 22nd December).
Capricornus was, in Roman mythology the sea goat into which Pan was changed to
escape from the terrible giant Typhon. It is also the name given to the
constellation resembling it and when the December solstice was first observed
the sun was situated in this constellation, hence this tropic was named
Capricorn". I knew that.
It is clear that trees cannot grow straight up at the tropic due to the inclination of the soltice being calculated in the metric system.

These trees are also totaly confused by the varying latitudes and so they constantly change their direction of growth. Pretty obvious really.
If you think you've got a problem with pimples, have a thought for this guy.
Keep well clear. Banana (his name) will want to go walk about one day.

You thought I was kidding about his name didn't you..
Ken's Camp was peaceful and quiet. In fact it was bloody scarey at night when nobody else showed up. During the night I kept peering out into the darkness to see if anybody was out there.
If you hear of a place called Moonie in QLD, don't expect it to get in the news very often. This is the entire place! Oh! sorry, there is a tourist information centre as well. It's as quiet as Ken's Camp.
