Whether you have been here before or not.. WELCOME! I'm not much of a photographer but I enjoy taking photos that [to me] seem unusual or interesting. Sometimes I think they are funny, sometimes strange and sometimes R rated. In any case you are encouraged to put comments in the visitors book. I hope I can make you smile or even giggle a bit.

Emu eggs

These Emu eggs (or are they ostrich eggs?) have several layers that are different shades (of grey) and by scraping away the layers (or carving), some clever people make pictures. They can also paint them and also put colored light inside. See the next pic....

Not breakfast

Ah! they are emu eggs (not ostrich eggs). Personally I like the receptionist more.

T model

For a small fee, you can be given a short tour of St George in a T Model Ford - so the bakery gets paid while it's doing some advertising. Smart, but the car wasn't cheap.

Flood story

If you enlarge this pic you may be able to read it. It's worth a read.

Skate board

In the wild west they tethered their horses outside the pub. Times have changed and today you are more likely to see a skateboard tied up!

What on Earth

This weeks quiz. What is it? A clue - it's in the town of Moura QLD. wait for part three to find out.

Local art

The painting of silos has become a big business. They are becoming more and more common as we travel further North. This one is in Moura QLD.

Blowing bubbles

I did NOT know that! in fact I'm not sure I beleive it.

A BobCat ?

This perfectly lovely feline is in disguise. She is actually cross bred with an American Bobcat. The only animal that she avoids is the mountain lion. If you don't beleive me, enlarge the next pic and read...

The facts

Calliope

This is one of our favourite free camp spots - Calliope in QLD.

Pommies, having a sticky beak.

An adventurous couple! Leo and Jemma are from Middleborough in England. They have been having a "quick look about" since August last year. They recently found out what Aussies meant by a "thunderbox".. !
