WELCOME!  -  I'm not much of a photographer but I enjoy taking photos that [to me] seem unusual or interesting. Sometimes I think they are funny, sometimes strange and sometimes R rated. I hope I can make you smile or even giggle a bit.

Smokey Townsville

A perfect example of how smoke haze from local hazard reduction can stuff a panorama of Townsville.

Dont ask!

I only went into the shop to get a couple of ice creams.

Want a new shed

Steve will erect a new shed for you.

A sea is buriied

There's a sea under that land - even today! see the next pic.

Liquid gold

I'm uncovering Burdekin secrets.

Where are we

A difficult pic. This is only one metre above ground but I'm not much more, so getting the camera high enough wasn't easy. A passer by offered to pick me up and hold me over it while I took the pic but I declined - he was a 6 ft 10 inch bearded bikie!

Imported rubber

Way over my head.

antenna for hams

Amateur radio was once very popular in Townsville and most of the local ham radio enthusiasts had one of these in their garden. This one was eventually sold to the coast guard so they could monitor the local harbour traffic - that's what I was told!.

Health check machines

Have you seen the machines in pharmacy's which test your height, weight, blood pressure etc. etc. and tell you when you are going to die?

This sign might be appropriate.

not so high

By the time we had walked to the top of this "little hill", I had estimated it's elevation to be around 4 kilometers.

How dissapointing was this sign!

is that a mine field or what

To get to the top of that "little hill" we walked/climbed/struggles through kilometers of scrub. When we finally got back onto the road we looked back and ...  shit!

Our guide

Back on the beaten track we took the advice of our guide and followed him, or her?
