Getting to Cobbolt Gorge meant that we had to travel 100 kilometers of dirt and dusty road - we frequently complained about caravans who create so much dust.

On a "good" stretch of road it is wise to keep your eyes wide open for anything that might run across in front of you, like kangaroos, cattle, naked people .. eh!

In the heat you sometimes think you have seen things that were not there!

These signs are comforting if you are not sure where the road is. Sometimes, believe me,  it is not so obvious.

This gorge had better be worth it!

We must be getting close, the last 400 meters of road is sealed, but the cattle think it is theirs to wander about on.

Finally....  after a two hour bus ride, we are made to eat a very hurried lunch, then walk for an hour in the heat, look at an ancient grave, then spend 45 minutes in a tiny aluminum battery powered dinghy. The boat ride was unusual I must say. The boat sometimes scraped the sides of this strangely sculptured rocky gorge.

The overall tour scored 2 out of 10.

The gorge scored 5 out of 10.
