Whether you have been here before or not.. WELCOME! I enjoy taking photos that [to me] seem unusual or interesting. Sometimes I think they are funny, sometimes strange and sometimes R rated. In any case you are encouraged to put comments in the visitors book. I hope I can make you smile or even giggle a bit.

Arriving at Newman was a shock. The temperature has dropped and the wind is blowing a gale. With each gust of wind comes a blast of red sand and dust ... yuk & brrrrr.
The mining people do things in a BIG way.
This scrap metal merchant has had a good day.
Eight meters wide!
At a roadside rest area, a little old lady said "my front tyre looks very low in pressure, could you change the wheel for me"
While I was in a helpful mood I rotated all the wheels for her.

That little old lady was driving this small mining wheel barrow ! ...... it's just as well it was empty otherwise it would have taken my entire lunch break to rotate the lot.
When I saw this I stopped the car & caravan, stood on the roof and took a long hard look around for the other one....
Bugger! it was nowhere to be seen.
The road train drivers are the frindliest I've come accross. They stopped an entire convoy of these road trains in order to let me pass ... ... ...
... after making me sit and watch them for twenty minutes.
Actually, the road gangs control the flow of traffic, not the truckies. The long distance truck drivers are generally polite and helpful.

Ah! that's a relief.
The previous warning about stray animals said "NEXT 420 KLMS".
I can't help myself. The scenery is magnificent.
I can't help myself. The scenery is magnificent.
Have I said that before?

We had just about set up camp for the night when this guy wandered past bellowing like blazes - with a stomach ache I guess.
We ignored the bull and finished the day camped here beside the "Degray River".
I discovered it was half an inch deep!
It must have looked good because we were joined by a dozen or so other lost souls.
