Whether you have been here before or not.. WELCOME! I enjoy taking photos that [to me] seem unusual or interesting. Sometimes I think they are funny, sometimes strange and sometimes R rated. In any case you are encouraged to put comments in the visitors book. I hope I can make you smile or even giggle a bit.

We came this way three weeks ago and the bridge WAS there.
Fallen down?
Stolen?
Nah! just a mirage I'll keep driving straight over the edge!!
The empty road stretches so far ... we cannot see the next bend.
There's a whirlwind in the middle of this pic (got to look carefully). If you see this coming your way up here in the Kimberly's .. .. take a big breath and close your eyes .. .. or do like I did and run like hell.

I don't understand ... I much prefer them lightly toasted, turned once, and served with ....
The boab is certainly an interesting tree. They all look like they are dead - but maybe thats because of the time of the year.
Overall, I think they are plain UGLY!
Around Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek there are half a dozen ONE LANE bridges. You have to be ready to stop quickly before getting onto the bridge in case there is somebody already on the bridge at the other end. If you are not paying attention and you miss the warning signs you could get into an embarrassing situation - particularly if you are towing a caravan.
Of course that never happened to me ... !

Late in the day, when it was time to stop for the night we found Ngumban Cliff Lookout. The view is spectacular and it was so peaceful and quiet.
Then half an hour later we were invaded by a tour bus and half a dozen support vehicles.
They eventually left us in a cloud of dust.
Our parking spot for the night at Ngumban Cliff Lookout was on the edge of this gorge - in the near empty rest area.

I woke up the next morning to see this view from my bed. Yes! thats exactly how I watched the sun come up - from my bed.
An evening sunset and dinner cruise finished off Monday night.
It consisted of three hours cruising on the Kununurra Lake aboard the MV Jabiru, plus dinner and drinks.
It was a forest - years ago. Now it is part of the Ord river irrigation system. Would you believe it provides water to billions of hectares of farming land?
Ok, would you believe millions? What about thousands?
