Whether you have been here before or not.. WELCOME! I enjoy taking photos that [to me] seem unusual or interesting. Sometimes I think they are funny, sometimes strange and sometimes R rated. In any case you are encouraged to put comments in the visitors book. I hope I can make you smile or even giggle a bit.

Ok
now, forget about the stupid stories, this is for real...
Connie and I strolled down to the lake after dinner for a smooch after dark. We had finished flashing our torches around to see if we could spot any crocodiles and gave up - none around tonight!
We found a quiet bench to sit on and looked up at the stars. Connie suddenly grabbed my hand and said "COME WITH ME!". . . .was this my lucky night?
No! this crocodile was lying in the dark no more than five feet from us - THIS IS TRUE! He smiled and said "wanna take a pic"?
There's
a worry about weeds and parasitic plants being carried across borders. When I
saw dozens of trees like this along the roadside I understood why. This one has
been completely over-run by a weed of some sort.
This sight puzzled me. There are three or four blocks of these units and all are in the same "trashed" condition in the residential part of Katherine.
I wonder who paid for them? .. who financed them? .. who trashed them? .. who has to pay for their demolition, or renovation? .. who will then live in them if anybody?
Somebody please tell me!

In
the tiny one horse town of Larrimah on the Stuart Highway is a quaint little tea
& scones cafe.
The signs are tempting but the rest is frightening. The whole place is filthy, including tables and chairs and the host (Fran). The scones and cake seemed a week or two old (quickly heated in a microwave no doubt). I'm so glad I didn't see the food preparation area. This place really needs a health inspector check.
If you wonder what's at Renner Springs, here it is. Um .. plus a caravan park, a windmill and a pelican. Oh,and some geese.
The Renner Springs caravan park is good. It has some grass, and man made pools with a resident pelican - but not many campers (other than the young mother who tried to seduce me). I felt safer towards the late afternoon when more campers arrived.

Another puzzle ... this sign is often seen along the roads but - on the wall of the toilet block???
A close look revealed quite a few "nail" holes. My guess is that somebody nicked it from the roadside.
One day I'm expecting an entreprenaurial young larikin to pinch one of these signs from NT and plant it beside a NSW road.
At one of our camp sites...
Eddie, worked his way along the fence and asked each of the caravanners for a drink of water. So everybody gave him a piece of bread. He took the bread from Connie and then asked me to get him some water.
When I came back with my plastic bucket of water, he ate the bucket and said "fooled ya"!

Is this really Bart Simpson.
Nah... don't be silly, it's a termite mound just getting dressed for breakfast.
I don't know.. but there are hundreds of them.
Maybe N.T. had a competition and it wasn't tidied up afterwards.
Maybe the people up here are bored ... really bored!
Termites collecting for Vinnie's Boutique ?
